Speaker 1 (00:01):
From Los Angeles, pH prank and one and only Famous Hilton. Hi, everybody,
welcome to the php on Booker. That, of course is
Perez Hilton. How do you do.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
I'm well, we're gonna be talking about Meghan Marco. I'm
not well, but.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
What's wrong?
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Well, guy, we'll get to it. I'm gonna be talking.
We're gonna be talking about Meghan Markel and her newest controversy.
Also some truly surprising justin Bieber News and very exciting
coverage of the LA fires. Yay, oh god. I'm just
(00:50):
you know, like I don't. I don't. I'm so lucky,
you know, my house is here and and I'm alive
and all of that stuff. But I've been obviously covering
the situation in Los Angeles so much, and it's taking
so much of my bandwidth in my time, and it's like,
(01:10):
who gives a fuck? Like, I don't even. I'm just
I'm not at one hundred percent. I'm not making this
about me. I don't want to make it about me.
My sister's fine. How are you? How are you? How
is your home? How are you? How's everything?
Speaker 1 (01:22):
My home is good? I am intact, I am in
my normal podcasting position. Shit got real on Friday night, though,
I'll tell you that.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Were you on evacuation warning?
Speaker 1 (01:32):
The line was drawn at the top of my street?
Oh wow, So I was definitely on warning for evacuation
the entire time. I was in warning.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Yes, you're like in the flats, right.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
No, I'm in the hill.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Oh you are.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
I am five houses from the woods.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Oh wow. I didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
No, I'm at the top of the hill.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Oh shit, I didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yeah, So it got real on Friday night.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
As we talked, and maybe you don't have the Patreon
you should get it if you don't, we talked in
depth about it a little bit on what would have
that been Thursday, and I was telling everyone, you know
where the Palisades are, situated directly behind the Palisades is
Tarzana and there's a forest in between, and as we
spoke on Thursday, it was making its way up the hill. Well,
(02:22):
as it turns out, and there's just been terrible communication.
They really should have kind of shared this with the community.
But I get it. They're busy fighting the fire. They
drew a line at the top of the mountain, which
if I walk up the street. I could see the
top of the ridge line, and that ridge line is
what separates the Palisades from the San Fernando Valley, which
(02:42):
I technically live in. So they drew a line at
the top of the hill and the tankers were up
there all day with the big DC tens. God bless them.
I have no idea how they are so trained and
so precise with these drops, but they had to retardant
along the entire ridge line. They had the bold Tho
up there carving out a line of where the fire
(03:04):
was going to go to.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Wait. Wait what they were able to direct the fire.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Well, that's exactly what they've been doing. They've been steering
this fire. So at one point I think they said,
let's let this fire burn up this hill, but let's
draw a line to where it can go to. So
that's exactly what it did. The fire moved all the
way to the top of my hill and it reached
the peak I would say about seven o'clock on Friday night,
(03:33):
and that's when shit got rialed.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Yeah, they were more evacuation orders Friday night.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
The neighborhood above me was evacuated. I would say the
neighborhood to the I guess the west of me was evacuated,
but I was, like I said, right on that line
of evacuation, we were in warning that God there was
no wind. All my neighbors. I would say eighty percent
of my neighbors left, even though they didn't have to.
We stayed. And it got scary because driving home from
(04:00):
work around six o'clock, it's dark on Friday night. You know,
I'm driving towards this fire, and it's like there was
a lit up stadium on the other side of the hill, right,
but it was just solid red. It was the scariest,
most ominous thing I've ever seen in my life. I
was like, I can't believe I'm driving towards this. And
(04:20):
they held that line. They had that fire exactly where
they wanted it, and as soon as it got to
that line, it had stopped and they pound the crap
out of it, and then it moved another direction. It
is purely unbelievable what they did. And I want to
say a couple of things. Number One, thank you to Mexico.
Their president was here, and God knows, they've been put
(04:43):
through enough shit by our former future administration. They've been
demonized as people. The president of Mexico, she came here,
she brought planes and firefighters and they were out there
digging and making those lines, and their fire jets were here.
So thank you to Mexico number one, number two, and
(05:03):
we have a chit ton of listeners in Canada. Canada,
you can't imagine how many Canadian helicopters and planes were
in the air. It was absolutely unbelievable to see and
just to see the different markings of the planes and
their country's planes up there dumping this retardant was unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
You're able to from where you are on your side
of the hill, you can still see it all with
your own eyes.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Yeah, oh yeah. I don't know if you saw my story,
but you could see me. We were identifying the DC
tens flying over the house. It was truly I can't
imagine what a war zone would be like, but if
I was to try to, I would say this is
the closest to it. I mean, I could read the
tail numbers on the planes flying over my house. It
was plain after plane after plane, helicopter after helicopter. That
(05:49):
was all day Saturday and yesterday quiet, nothing, nothing flew over.
So they they held that line. So thank you to Canada,
thank you to Mexico, thank you to the Seattle Fire Department.
All of the surrounding states of California all sent their
fire departments. There were inmates out there and the red jumpsuits.
They were out there digging. They've got a whole fire
(06:09):
squad as well. It was truly unbelievable how with it
they were after the initial Palisades fire. I'm mesmerized by
what they were able to do and how they've been
able to steer this fire around the way that they did.
I know there's high winds expected. The Santa Anas are
going to come back tomorrow, so that's a little iffy
(06:30):
for other areas like Brettwood and such. But I think
they've got a pretty good handle on this right now
and they have it exactly where they want to. But man,
I'm telling you, it was fucking scary on Friday night
packing up my things. We had a couple of bags packed,
we had the dogs ready to go, the carriers are
out for the cats. It's like walking room to room
deciding all right, what do I need in this room?
(06:52):
And it's funny when it comes to that, you realize
you don't need a lot, you know. I'm like, I
want to watch from this room. I'll take my baseball
card collection from this room, and that's just the binder,
not even the crap cards, just the good ones. I'll
take my first radio air check, you know, the dumbest
little things, and a couple bags of clothes, and they
(07:13):
were all packed up in both of our cars. We
were ready to go. So it was eye opening and unbelievable,
to say the least. And the Palisades looks like a
motherfucking bomb went off.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
I don't know if people are aware, but you're only
looking at footage on the news, right. I don't even
think Palisades residents who lost their homes are allowed necessarily
to go up there without some kind of escort, right.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Right, they're not. It's still closed down. But you know
local news here they are in. They've let them in
and they're doing an incredible job. I mean ABC seven
here in Los Angeles KTLA. I've watched Fox, I've watched CBS.
The coverage has been unbelievable. It's eye opening.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Didn't I say that on Thursday, Like the importance of
the news media.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Yeah, about that? They've done an incredible job. I can't
thank those broadcasters enough for being on the front lines
day after day, and I mean it's twenty four hour coverage.
And by the way, if anybody wants to help, I
don't know if the number works in other countries, but
if you want to text the word relief to thirty
three one hundred, you can choose your denomination. It's iHeart,
(08:23):
which were on their platform. They've partnered with this great foundation, reputable.
I don't need to go into that, but if you
want to help, there's a lot of people that could
use your help. It's five bucks, if it's ten bucks.
If you can give just text relief to thirty three
one hundred, it'll help somebody. It's truly unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
My assessment from AFAR is that, you know, like obviously
it's they're not all contained yet, but the majority of
the damage is done, and yes, it's possible to get
it even more contained today, right.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Yeah, I think it's mostly contained control And they use
these weird percentages, like you know, eleven percent containment, which
is very misleading. That's something that talks about the whole
like radius of the fire and where they are working
on it. They seem to have a handle on this
fingers crossed. It seems to be exactly where they want
(09:18):
it to be, and they've drawn their lines and they're
protecting the neighborhoods in the houses now. A lot of
this vegetation, I believe is planned burning right now, like
they just want this brush gone for the future. I
don't know how they're going to rebuild the Palisades. I
don't know if there's enough constes fractally.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Yeah, I was about to say that.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
But it is La. There's plenty of money. There'll be
people here ready to fix things Monday. It's a lot
to do about the permits and the zoning. I wonder
if those beachfront properties will ever come back. I can't
imagine they're going to let people build there again. There's
going to be such strict regulations for that. I assume.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
I was listening to NPR. They were saying that Gavin
Newsome announced that they're going to make permitting and the
process of rebuilding streamlines and easier for folks. So that's
a good thing.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
It's sad the finger pointing really sucks and it's not helping.
There'll be enough time after this to figure out what
went wrong. Newsom went on and explained in a very
calm way that since he's been in office, tenfold the
amount of money that has been put into our fire
systems and departments and our planes and our coverage. And
(10:27):
you know, it's just a lot of disinformation and misinformation
and a lot of fucking blowhards that don't even live
here that have to put their two cents about this.
They'll be time enough for that later on, but I
will say enough with mayors going on vacation. If you're
in office for four fucking years. I haven't been on
vacation in four years. I haven't. The farthest I've been
is Vegas or maybe a weekend to see my mom
(10:47):
in Florida. These people don't need to be going to Uganda.
They don't need to be going to the fucking Olympics. Okay,
you're a mayor, stay in town. If you want to
go to Vegas or Phoenix for the weekend to get
your jolly's out, great that. But you're here to serve
the fucking people. That's what I would say. I'm so
tired of this. Every time I turn on the TV,
there's our mayor, fucking smiling at some event in another country.
(11:10):
You're like, we don't need this. She's not the fucking president.
Stay here and serve the people.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Yeah. Well, I was gonna ask you that next, because I,
you know, have not been a fan of this mayor.
And actually I didn't even vote for her. I voted
for Rick Caruso in twenty twenty two.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
We talked about this. I voted for him as well,
but when she beat him in the primary or whatever
you call that, I then voted for her. Look, she's
a nice lady, and she's done some really good things
with the homeless, and that's an impossible situation. And I've
seen the difference. I've seen the areas that she's cleaned up,
and she campaigned on that. She did not campaign on
fire safety. So I just think a lot of her
(11:46):
responses have been very cringe. She's smiling in some of them,
and it's very weird. She wasn't here in the beginning.
They're asking her questions that she's not answering. Maybe she's
in shock. I don't know, but it's uh, whatever, This
isn't a political show, and I don't want to make
it about that. I'd like to get back to what
I said, Let's not politicize this. Let's just fix the
(12:06):
problem and get the people the money that they need
to get back on their feet for the moment.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Speaking of polarizing, that mayor of Los Angeles is very
polarizing right now, and so is Megan Markle. Yesterday it
was announced this show that Megan had previously said it
would be debuting this month, which we talked about on
a previous episode. I don't remember if it was a
regular show or the podcast or the Patreon it was
(12:33):
announced that Megan Markle has decided to delay the premiere
of With Love Megan. This is a statement that she
released through Netflix. I'm thankful to my partners at Netflix
for supporting me in delaying the launch as we focus
on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in
my home state of California. I don't even want to
(12:56):
say anything. What's your initial thought on this?
Speaker 1 (12:58):
You know I love the Marples a lot. I think
it's the right move. I don't think you need to
release a statement. There's no one fucking sitting there going Oh,
countdown's on eight days till the Marple Home Family show.
I don't think you needed to release a statement. If
anybody asked, hey, where's that show? I think a tweet
would suffice. We're going to delay it because there's a
(13:20):
lot going on in my home state. And that's the
end of it. But look, getting in front of it, fine,
there's bigger fish to fry. No one's looking at her
statement at the moment. I see that she is down
here giving out hugs and helping and doing whatever she can,
so I can only praise that.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Wait, wait, so why do you think this is the
smart move?
Speaker 1 (13:40):
I think pushing the release of anything back and seeing
what this looks like is prudent for everyone, including the
award shows, which I'm sure we'll talk.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Yeah, I was gonna talk about that next, but I
mean specifically here. I'm just trying to understand because I
disagree with you. The show's completely finished, it's all done.
It wouldn't require any of her time to do anything
except promote it, and she doesn't have to promote it.
They could have released it without any talk show appearances
or whatever. The crew, nobody else would need to be
working on this. It wouldn't you take time away from
(14:14):
any possible good doing that she would be, you know,
engaged in because of the fires, and on the flip side,
I actually think having this kind of content could be
healing and good and a distraction from people who did
get displaced from their homes or struggling or whatever. I'm
not I'm being Chris Booker and now I'm not a
I'm not a cynic or a conspiracy theorist. But what
(14:38):
I think this is about is money, because I'm sure
that she's got some bonuses tied to performance on her
Netflix show. The more viewership it gets, the more she makes,
and if she doesn't promote it, obviously not as many
people are gonna watch it. That's what I think is
really behind her delaying this, not anything to do with
(14:59):
the people of California, and also to maybe make herself
look good. But I don't know if it makes herself
look good.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
In my opinion, you can see this any way that
you want. I think, just get back to the optics
of it all. Making something about II me me right
now and releasing it feels cringey. Now to your point,
I don't disagree with what you said, though it could
be like a distraction for people. You're not wrong about
anything like that. But here's the thing. She wants to promote,
(15:27):
she wants to go on the fucking Today Show. They're
covering fires and they're gonna be for a while. She
doesn't want to be out there doing something that's me
me about the Marples, you know what I mean, Like,
she has no interest in that, and I understand that
as well. Look, you are trying to make money. It
is a business, and if you are seeing that the
(15:47):
opportunity may not be there at this moment, I don't
think that's a bad thing to pull back. She wants
to be on TV, she wants to be promoting this,
and she can't do that is the whole thing blanket
in narcissism. Of course, it's them they need, like you said,
the reality show stars, they need the eyeballs. They're not
going to get them. They're not going to get what
(16:08):
they want. She's also right, she probably would feel icky
doing something in her home state where she's from at
this moment, and I get that.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
To That's all I'm saying. Though, I'm saying that she
could have released it without doing any press or promo,
but you you know, you said, yeah, she wants to
do it, so that's why she's dealing it I just
wish it was a little bit more transparent, you know
what I mean? Right now, the statement she gave was like,
all about the people of California blow up? Right, That's
why it didn't ring jenuine, I gotcha.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
I don't think anybody when they put out statements really
does a great job in being real. If she was
to put out a real statement and be a real
human being and not this plastic manufactured ran through nine
publicist drafts of what we're going to say and how
we're going to handle this, if she would have just
said jumped on Twitter or whatever and just said me rely,
(17:00):
this right now feels icky to me. I just want
my state to heal. We'll talk about this down the line.
What I'm trying to do is an important at the moment,
and here's a number to donate some money and let's
try to help out the people of my home state.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Just say that. Yeah, So taking it a step further,
you know, the Grammys are around the corner. I don't
think the Grammy's taking place in Los Angeles where they
were supposed to. It is a good idea, but let's
say they move the Grammys to Vegas? Should the Grammys
go ahead as normal in Vegas.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
I think there's a real opportunity to make that show
an award show slash fundraiser. Shake it out differently and
say this is where I would say seventy percent of
the musician's attending live, this is where the producers live,
This is where the music industry hub is centered in
Los Angeles, the industry.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
I'm not necessarily saying change the location.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
I like the idea of changing the location, and like
no one feels like celebrated.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
That's why though, But once again.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
I still see that it could be an opportunity to
maybe raise some money. Listen, you raised ten dollars and
you have this show. It's ten dollars that you didn't have.
That's what I would do with it. But I don't
know what they're going to do. I'm with you. I
would move that thing right over to Vegas tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
I think that they should make it a two part thing,
to be honest, like a Saturday night telethon fundraiser and
then Sunday night award show, just because I still want
the artists to be able to accept awards and have
their moments, you know what I mean. Yeah, So people
would tune in for a to night thing. I think,
(18:39):
you know, if all the artists are already going to
be here for the Grammys, maybe even more people that
aren't nominated or weren't planning to perform could come in
the night before for the fundraiser part of it.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Yeah, I don't know. I mean this whole we need
to be honored and we need to be celebrated. It's
such horseshit. You know who needs to be honored and celebrated.
Fucking fire We on the teach I know, but we
don't do that. We keep putting on award shows and
giving aw It's like these people only exist to go
to the ward How about they say this, I'm not
going this year. There's too much fucking shit going on. Hey,
(19:11):
if I win, I'll thank the Academy, I'll thank my fans,
I'll thank my management, I'll thank my God. Then I'll
fuck off, you know what I mean. That's what I
would do if I was an artist.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
I know that things are heated, but you're smarter than this.
You know. The reason that we're not honoring firefighters and
teachers on TV is because the public doesn't want that.
The public, no.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Public watch the musicians standing next to them, they might.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
I disagree that. I don't think people would tune in
to watch an award show honoring.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
No one tunes in in the first place. These fucking
ratings for these award shows are aneem.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
It well, they would be, but then be honest, they
would be even less they would.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
I guess the point is it doesn't matter either way.
If they have the show, no one cares. There's no
one that wakes up the next morning except for you
and me to find out who won Best Pop Artist.
Because we talk about this thing general consensus. The general
population couldn't give two flying fucking shits on who wins
what and who gets an award. They're there to watch
(20:08):
a good TV show with some fun performances.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
I disagree. Also, I think people do care. They're just
watching it in different ways. They're watching on social media,
they're watching on YouTube, and it's hard to really measure that.
So I do think people still care about the Grammys
and some award shows, and I would I would love
it if there was a you know, maybe I don't know,
maybe PBS could do it because it's not necessarily about ratings.
(20:30):
I would love if there was an award show or
something to honor teachers and firefighters and things like that.
But at the end of the day, the regular networks
are a fucking business, and the viewers are not going
to tune in to watch that.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
The viewers are tuning into the first place. Everyone is
nauseated by the fact that this town just constantly has
to celebrate itself. And if that is an evident If
there was ever a joke written that better summarized this
town and how it feels about itself, it was on
the Golden Globes when Nicki Glazer talked about how these
(21:04):
people couldn't influence an election. Whatever the joke was, and
how she delivered it, that's the best joke of the night.
It's the most poignant thing that's ever been said. I
should up my grade from B to an A just
for that joke and how she phrased it, because she's
one hundred percent right. People are nauseated by these people.
It's like they exist to go to award shows. Now
(21:25):
cancel all of them. This season is what I say.
This is Los Angeles, this is where they hold Listen.
If they're in New York, fun you can have them there,
but in that way. Fuck off, nobody wants it right.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
If they didn't cancel for COVID, they're not going to
fucking cancel for the fires. Sadly, well, there is something
positive for at least for me, to come of all
of this, and that's to see a lot of folks
on social media all over the world rallying around some
friends of mine, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag and the
(21:55):
things that have happened over just this weekend alone are
pretty just accept her music, which this one album of
hers that's like fifteen years old, is actually selling copies.
People are buying copies on the iTunes store, not even
streaming it, buying to support them. They got it all
(22:16):
the way to number one, beating the new release from
Bad Bunny. Pit Bull agreed to be on a song
of hers like It's pretty awesome.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
That's amazing.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Yeah, And even just on a smaller level, Spencer Pratt
more than tripling his following on TikTok and being able
to monetize that with the videos that he's making and
live streaming. And my anxiety has also been through the
roof with this whole potential TikTok situation this week especially
because on Friday they were there arguing in front of
(22:50):
the Supreme Court and the justices were signaling that TikTok's
going to lose, which is what I predicted all along.
But I'm still so cautiously optimistic that Donald Trump will
save TikTok, which he can.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Donald Trump isn't the president.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
There's just a day. It's just one day of difference.
The law goes into effect January nineteenth. He is inaugurated
January twentieth. The Court might also punt to him because
there is an overwhelming conservative majority and say, okay, we
think that the law is legal and it's going to stay,
but will give it a week delay until Trump is
(23:27):
in office. Then it's up to Trump and his Department
of Justice to enforce or not enforce this new law.
Or as I predicted, he'll give them a twelve or
twenty four month extension.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Kick the can down the road and say this is
the deadline exactly.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
That's it. He'll give them a twelve or twenty four
month extension to sell to an American company, and after
they lose in the Supreme Court, which sadly they will.
I do believe that TikTok will agree to sell just
because there's billions being made on there and they have
thousands of employees in the US.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
If they sell, the money will probably in all likelihood
be diced up differently, meaning what creators are getting now
they're going to get a fraction of that.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Yes, and no, for example the live stream why not
because I don't think it'll affect live streaming too much.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
But it's about the money. If some American company has
to take on this outpouring of cash that goes to creators,
that's probably the hold up. That's why no company has
stood up and said, hey, we'll buy this. That's my guess.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
No, I don't think that's why. I think it's because
TikTok has said we're not selling and they haven't tried
to sell it. Right, So happy to see what's happening
to Spidey and I think we talked about it on
the Patreon show, and happy that before all of this,
Spencer and I made peace because we were strange for
two years. I remember we were really close and then
we were strange, and then literally last weekend, two days
(24:53):
before everything happened, we made up.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Oh so prior to the fire, you.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Made prior to the fires.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
Oh wow, I thought that was the no.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
No, no, oh wow, oh no. If we hadn't made
up before the fires, I would not have. I wouldn't have.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
You would have.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
I don't know if I would have. Well, I just didn't.
I wouldn't have wanted them to feel like I was
trying to like take advantage of the situation, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
I think you would have came out and said exactly
what you said and said I still like these people.
They're good people. We don't get along at the moment,
and shared their conscience, I think.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I would have done that, but I
wouldn't have reached out to them personally. Oh no, yeah, okay, yeah,
I wouldn't have reached out to them personally, you know,
because we had falling out. But like literally two days
before everything, we made peace and and like and we refollowed.
He unblocked me, We refollowed each other.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
You guys have children.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
He's the child, not me. Okay, he's the child.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Yeah. I don't think anybody on the show's by and
that one.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
No, I said, maybe this is why we get along
and also don't get along because Spencer and I are
very similar. I said, he's like my annoying little brother,
and even though we are estranged at points, like a family,
the love is always still there. So anyways, I'm happy
to see that also some folks are being involved in
the whole trying. LA is such a wait. I haven't
(26:19):
seen this on the news, but you're there, so this
is an even better understanding. Somebody in the comments section
said that the National Guard is in Los Angeles. Are
they there?
Speaker 1 (26:30):
They're here?
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Okay, why have I not seen that on the fucking
news yet? So that's good to know. LA has been
a shit show since last week, with now arsonists setting
fires on purpose and Whitney Cummings trying to hunt down arsonists,
and David Spade offering a five thousand dollars bounty if
somebody catches somebody trying to start a fire.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Good for both of them, because it's real, it's not
made up. This was on the local news and I
was shocked. It took it like a tire day to
get to the national news. But there's a guy riding
around on a bicycle out in Calabasas and they go
to the edges of these neighborhoods that they can't get into.
This guy's got a torch, and like I'd said, I
(27:13):
think I told you, and I was like, look, a
lot of this is arson because it happens at the
basin right around the four or five where the one
oh one meets. There's a big homeless encampment there that
they clean out, and they keep coming back and they
periodically set a fire. I would say once every couple
of months, you'll see a giant plume. You're like, Oh,
it's the fucking homeless again. These crazy fucking people, they
(27:35):
just I don't know if like in their mind they're
into fire or what it is, but they're constantly setting fires.
So yeah, a couple people have been arrested, and that's
what we're dealing with that.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
I've seen so many of those videos, Like I saw
one yesterday of somebody setting a fire in front of
a gym I think as a homeless person, or did
do that video in a shopping car.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
I haven't seen that one, but I believe you. I mean,
it happens constantly here and the palasages. To think about
that billions of dollars, It probably was some fucking homeless
person that just lit up a bag or a cigarette
or god knows what. I doubt it was a barbecue
or anything like that. It was probably a homeless person.
And here we are.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Let me just quickly wrap things up the fire extended
segment a little bit of positivity. You know, there's been
a lot of destruction and randomness. That's how chaos is, right.
Sometimes chaos is totally random, like Jamie Lee Curtis living
in the Palisades, but her house was spared because she
was like one canyon over and even home. I saw
(28:36):
on this one now very viral photo of all of
these homes in the Palisades except for like one in
the middle that I think an architect might have built
or something like that still standing. Anyways, I saw this
one video yesterday that really warmed my heart, and I
thought it might resonate with you because you're a big
dog rescuer and animal lover. This guy, who was not
home in the Palisades when the evacuations were ordered, was
(28:59):
just re nighted with his dog, who miraculously survived the
fire and five days without food or water. So, oh
God him, i'most gonna start crying even thinking about it.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
I did see that video and it warms my heart.
How about this? So day before yesterday, we found another
dog in the neighborhood. And this dog, he was a
big boy, and he was scared and he was hiding
behind a neighbor's trash can, and he's fucking neighbors like,
you know, some of these people are just fucking pieces
of shit. They don't do anything. We're like, is that
your dog? They're like no, Like, well, then why don't
(29:30):
you open the gate and like commandeer the situation. This
dog scared to death. So I couldn't get near the dog.
I don't think he likes guys, Callen tried. We stayed
there forever. We took some pictures. We found another neighbor
that has a couple of dogs. She's like a fucking
dog whisper of this other woman and she walked up
and they got the dog. Started posting pictures everywhere. We
went on the neighborhood apps and did all that shit.
(29:53):
We found someone that had a microchip detector that could
read the chips. Oh wow, she came over to the house,
found the owner's information, reunited the dog with the owner.
So that was our That was our.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Din fucking video of that. That shit would have gone
so viral.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
Yeah, I don't care, damn it.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
That would have been good content anyways. In other non
fire related news, twenty twenty five is going to be
an interesting year, hopefully a positive year for Justin Bieber,
according to a new report from NME. I mean, what
fucking connections does NM have with Justin Bieber? But you know,
(30:32):
there are music publications, so maybe so maybe they do
have some in I don't know, but they say that
Bieber is planning a comeback for twenty twenty five. He
will be releasing new music and touring, so wow, that
would be cool. Also, some updates on I don't even
want to fucking talk.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
About it though, don't talk about did hey tho?
Speaker 2 (30:53):
No, not Diddy, not Diddy. Some updates on the whole
twitch we talked about on the Patreon. It's just it's
so messy.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
He's talking about Ellen's DJ twitch and the wife.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
I literally had a meltdown on Friday, No Saturday. This
news outlet in the UK asked me if this is
so stupid, but whatever, this is not. I don't even
know what's stupid. I've barely been sleeping anyways. This news
outlet in the UK asked me to be in this special,
this news special that they were doing about the LA fires,
(31:25):
to talk about the celebrity angle, and that's just like, ill, ilk,
I don't want to talk about the celebrity angle the
celeb fires, even though it's my job and I get it,
but like so I said no, and then my sister
she pushes me and pushes me because, like you know,
I have a lot of dependence and I got to
She's like, if you don't do it, they'll ask somebody else,
or if you don't do it, they'll they'll stop asking you.
And I'm likeugh, but I don't want to this is
(31:47):
it doesn't feel right. I don't want to do it.
She's like, okay, fine, I'll tell okay fine, and this
is her altiate Okay, okay, okay, fine, I'll tell them
no and then like, okay, fine, I'll fucking do it.
And then and then it's like but I'm only going
to give them fifteen minutes and then they fucking kept
me on the fucking zoom for thirty eight minutes. Wow. Anyways, Sorry,
I'm not well, but I'm but I'm well, I'm well,
(32:08):
I'm well. I have a house, I'm safe whatever. Twitch
his family, the Stephen Boss and the mom. His mom
is chiming in and calling out the widow and now
the widow this is actually this I'll mention that. I'll
mention this, okay, because but it's also it's like she's
a fucking teenager. I was under the assumption that this guy,
Stephen Boss Twitch from The Ellen Generous Show, adopted the
(32:33):
eldest child in their family, the woman Alison Hulker had
from a previous relationship. But she went on social media
and said that she was never adopted and the Boss
wasn't her last name. And I'm like, ew ew oh,
oh oh, I get it. You're like on the defensive
and you're wanting to defend your mom. But I would
(32:54):
have had her take that down if I was the mom.
But anyways, let's look and move on. There's a couple
of things. Let me just barrel through the Jessica Alba
and her husband of seventeen years calling it quits. They
had a good run. For some reason. Over in the UK,
a coroner did what's the fucking term autopsy? There we go,
Jesus Christ, fucking a they did an autopsy in the
(33:17):
UK on Liam Payne and on his body, even though
they already did one in Argentina, and obviously, no shit,
he died from multiple traumas. Like, I don't understand why
they even felt the need to do that.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
I don't either. Just put the body to rest.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
They did it, okay. And then two quick items before
we get to calls. First, Mark Zuckerberg, did this come
across your radar? Was a guest on the Joe Rogan podcast.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
I did see some of this, yes.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
And thankfully this is what I needed. I needed a
moment of just patting myself on the back, praising myself
for being so awesome, and just loving myself. Thank God,
I love myself because I really like being in the middle.
I like not being so rigid about like, oh I'm
a liberal or oh I'm a conservative. No, I'm a
fucking centrist. I'm a realist. I'm in the middle. And
(34:05):
Mark Zuckerberg was saying some things that really just did
not sit right with me. That Joe Biden and his
administration were putting pressure on meta you know, Instagram and
Facebook to censor so much content and I will always
die on the hill of censorship. Sucks. We should not
be censoring shit, freedom of speech. I'm a journalist, even
though people may not want to view me as a journalist.
(34:27):
I take what I do seriously. Or even Mark Zuckerberg
saying that after Meta was really pushing back on censoring
things like memes and jokes about the pandemic, that he
believes that retaliation happened and that the federal government was
starting all sorts of investigations against Meta and his company
because they weren't censoring content enough. And he claims that
(34:51):
this is all public record and that's out there, and
I guess it would make sense because anything that the
president puts into writing or the administration does would be
privileged or public.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
And from I think that having a paper trail and
trying to show the people, the citizens of our country
whom are gullible, that everything that they read online is
not true, isn't a terrible thing, because as you can see,
you've got a vast majority now of our population that
(35:21):
don't believe in things that are fact, disease science, whatever
it could be. There's just too many opinions that are
being passed around as fact. And I don't think the
government trying to make an effort and making a plea
to the person that owns the biggest let's just say,
bigger than any network TV streaming, bigger than any newspaper,
(35:44):
bigger than any publication, making a plea to them to say, hey,
people are taking this stuff at fact now because they're stupid.
We want the American people just to know that censorship.
I don't think it's called censorship. I think it's a
different word. And that's the problem with all of this.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
I think it is censorshit.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
I think they're demanding them to say, hey, all of
this stuff isn't true, and you owe it to the country,
the people, the well being of the world that the
information that you're spewing, that you're letting your platform people spew,
is catching on as fact and it's endangering other people.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
That's not what Mark Zuckerberg claimed.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
Mark Zuckerberg cares about Mark Zuckerberg, Okay, that he doesn't
give a fuck about the regular person.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
None of them do, not even Elon Musk.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
I'm not gonna blame Bidener's administration for that.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
My counter is, I don't give a fuck if you
flag the content like oh, people fact checkers or this
or That's why he introduced the new community notes thing
or whatever. Like, I don't know. I'm not a fan
of taking shit down personally. Here's the great thing again,
I don't want to go log into this, but like,
what if somebody says the earth is flat and it's
adamant about that, should that be taken down?
Speaker 1 (36:54):
Then it's not about taking things down, it's just about
making an effort to let the citizens know, let the
dumb fucking people know. Hey, dumb people, what you're hearing
isn't fact. And that's it. That's all we want to
say that everything on this platform, you shouldn't take his fact.
By the way, it's like you had to get down
(37:14):
the road to be able to look back to see
what's happened. Now we're at the point where I agree
with you. At this point, everyone knows you should know better.
You should know that the crap out there on Facebook
is being manipulated a by other countries and be completely
made up half the time, and you should take it
for face value. But you didn't know that yesterday, or
(37:35):
you didn't know that six months ago or five years ago.
That's the thing. It's easy to look back and throw
rocks at how we handled the pandemic. God knows what
that could have turned into. I mean, a million plus
people died as is, but who knows what happens when
the next one, the flesh eating virus fucking flies around
and stuff. Who knows what it could be. Everything's a lesson.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
There is no lesson. What's the fucking lesson we learned
from COVID.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
Was the fire drow. The lesson was let's trust science.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Now you could don't get it people. If there is
another pandemic, people are going to continue to believe exactly
what they believed last time. Okay, let them so there
is no lesson learned.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
No, some people learned. Some people have learned that the
facts on Facebook aren't real. They have some people have
the stupid have it. They're still congregating and spreading stupid.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
I actually think the opposite's happened. I think over the
last two years, now that we're mostly out of the pandemic,
even there's been even more vaccine skepticism.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Oh I agree with that. Okay, but if you don't
want to trust science, go ahead, don't, because we'll eradicate
stupid people. That's what's gonna end up happening. It's like Darwinism.
I mean, that's what's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
So then I was right. What the fuck did we
learn right about anything? All right, let's wrap things up
before we take some calls. I want to thank Andrea
who signed up at patreon dot com slash Perez Hilton recently.
Actually I am. I'm so overwhelmed. We've never had more
people supporting us on Patreon, and over the last week
(39:06):
we've had an explosion of sign up, So bless you all,
Thank you. I also need to thank Michelle, Miss Gala,
Yaira Agbo Malou Michelle said what, Holly Dylan, Christopher Perkins,
Kaylee Dingman, Alexandra Rios, Alison Schuler, Louis Shabbat, Kylie Nevins, Celia,
(39:31):
Nancy Godswin, Krista Cooper, Kamalami Cahouney listening to you, but
stop it. Stephanie Dale in Australia. You wouldn't do any better.
Jesus no, I would do Sephanie Dale in Australia, Michelle Aaron,
Courtney Corditez, Kim Hannah c Colleen Winter, Carolyn Hussa, Mike
(39:54):

Speaker 1 (40:01):
She knows our last names.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Fucked Jess mcrizky, Suzanne Medina, Shauna Pebbles, fuck Pebbles, Julia
Dinka in Canada, Katie Herrera, Kenzie Hooper.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
What a great fun listen. This must be that.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
We're almost an Ashley Sweet, Zoe Holmes and Jade Ariola.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
Zoey's been with us forever she has.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
She just signed up.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
I know her from Instagram. Maybe she just joined Patreon.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
So that's everybody, Patreon dot com slash Perez Hilton, thank
you all. Let's take a call. One call only one call.
Hi Ashley from up to state, New York and Patreon subscriber,
been listening for all ten years. Happy anniversary. I remember
when you had guests on testing the market, and I
remember like a Dan McQueen and the two shows a week.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
You need a top show.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
You two are perfect together. But he don't cut me off.
You're my favorite for your honesty, Perez, your TikTok lives.
I live for my real question for you both for
my birthday this week, it gets from you.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
What is your favorite story you ever covered together?
Speaker 2 (41:05):
No Kanye allowed go lie in sending you both love. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
Fuck the Steelers. By the way, teepe steaks.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
My favorite story. The first thing that comes to mind
is just because she brings me joy. I love talking
about Taylor Swift. And it's not like, you know, oh,
Britney spears and negative and like, you know, like anything
Taylor is like okay, could be juicy. Everybody knows who
the fuck Taylor is, but it's not like, oh, somebody's
struggling with their mental health or whatever. I love talking
Taylor's I would say anything Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
I do like the Taylor conversations. And I know people
hate when we dive into the numbers of things and
how I think they're horseshit. I love doing that. I'm
sorry that you guys hate when I do that, but
I fucking love doing that. I agree anything Brittany. I
could care less if we ever fucking mentioned again. I
just like when Perez tells me a story about someone
that I don't necessarily care about or know anything about,
(41:54):
and I like having just an honest reaction to what
he's telling me. I don't know if it's fat, I
don't know if it's gossip, but I'd like to just
kind of dice up situations so I don't think I
have a specific answer to that, but I genuinely enjoy
his storytelling of what's going on.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
And I love that we just don't give a fuck
most a lot of the time. So I am just
gonna say the perfect way to end this show in
true PHP fashion is TikTok might be going away. Please
sign up for our Patreon at patreon dot com slash
Perez Hilton.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
Or he'll cry.
Speaker 2 (42:29):
I have three children and a half to support my
three kids and my mother Patreon dot com and listen. Obviously,
I'm not a fucking moron. If you don't have money,
don't sign up. Nobody's forcing anybody to sign up. Only
if you enjoy us, you would get twice the amount
of enjoyment in your life.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
Okay, yeah, we give extra fucks on the page. Yeah
we should just say that it is much fuck you sake.
This dialogue is open. Buckle in for that show because
there are times we just don't give a shit.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
So we appreciate you all though I just love the
Patreon people more. Let's be honest, it's true, fuck you
free I heard No, they're not fuck you. I love
you all. I just need to joke, but I'm not.
I'm not joking. I love them, but I love the
Patreon people more. I'm honest. I'm honest. I'm always honest.
I'm always honest. We love you all. Have a great week.
(43:19):
See some of you on Thursday for the Patreon Show ideos.
